im not sure if anyone of you experianced this. for a long time, about a year, i have been experiancing something rather interesting. my car's steering would suddenly move to either left of right, sometimes. sometimes it doesnt. sometimes, it seems to mis-aligned to the left.. sometimes to the right, without turning my steering.. end up i need to counter steer in order to continue going straight.. when cruising on the highway, long distance, the car would just sway suddenly.. as if i turn the steering slightly to the left/right while all this while my steering is still straight.. i didnt move the steering but the car would turn to left (slightly).. which is quite horrifying.. esp a certain stretch on nse heading north (johor) after much discussion with several car modders and mechanics, and inspections, i found the root cause.. my steering bush is worn and needs replacement. (i've made numerous complaints to tyt sc but they always say alignment problem) the fix was pretty simple too.. just cut a small piece of rubber (cut from large chunk of rubber, from the 'inner tyre of a lorry tyre), and wrap the steering bush. result: problem solved. tested for 1 month already, no more pulling to 1 side, no more alignment problem.. and total cost of the fix is only rm20. :thumbup but generally, if you do not have a problem with steering bush, dont do this. if it aint broken, dont fix it..
