The best get a 2nd hand unit which is now below RM1.5k with kit-lens. With this budget you can get EOS-300/350 or Nikon D40 which are good enough. hahaaaa all the while we do have this Hobby section but nobody started the Photography forum. Is good to share those wonderful shots and have a good remembrance. ;)

I like photographing from 1993 I got film SLR but to expensive to process. and I lost it in house break-in at 1997. from then I stop photographing until one of my friend introduce canon S3IS until now, this will be a hobby of mine. I usually outing with them and learning the technic, angle and composition. here the link buddy of mine , buddy of mine 2and me and two pros that I love their work pros 1 and pros 2 and sorry for the long story.. i got away, cause maybe cause I love it so much

haroldchia.com Posts: 3,055 Group: AOCM Member #229 Joined: February 13, 2006	u'll b surprised with the canon S3 IS.. i used it before when i was deciding whether to get DSLR or not.. with that camera, you are able to take shots comparable to dslr.. the camera is even better than my 400d with 18-55mm kit lens.. better zoom, better macro (even better than dslr with macro filter). but of course once u get a better lens, the S3 no match for the dslr.. i was very tempted to get the S3.. then i saw the S5.. then thought about the pricing.. almost same as 400d.. then finally took 400d.. :lol3: anyway, here's my very first sunset shot, taken last saturday. Posted Image it seems my kit lens dont do well with glare.. held my sunglasses infront of the lens when i shot this photo (to reduce the glare)

But PP is not to save bad OOF photos. Hope this help.
