Just received reply from HP regarding my notebook: ....It seems that the issue is related with graphics driver or hardware component. To isolate the issue, please perform mentioned below steps. 1. Swap out with external monitor if possible. (Make sure that there should be no electromagnetic interference and heavy magnetic field near the monitor. As these are the prime causes of monitor malfunctioning). 2. Boot into BIOS (by pressing press F2/10) or watch during post to see if issue is present before the operating system and drivers have loaded. Check how it goes and let me know the result.... :unsure :unsure |

HP / Dell... most item are propriety except RAM / HDD / LCD screen. All other stuff are propreieryreyryt yearghhhh!!! Dell replacement are darn expensive... so is Compaq's and HP.... Between the 2... its a matter of preference. As for Dell's service, you must pester them and pressure them to get response... sometimes. I always get my next business day response le.... I am a very happy Dell customer.... They have replaced a new notebook LCD and a printer for me at no additional cost after I have use it for about 1 year.... coz something is wrong and they couldn't solve the problem... They change the LCD in my office... WOW! Upgrade RAM? I suggest you go Low Yat and buy... DDR2 667Mhz SODIMM RAM 1Gig selling for RM120 I think? Quickly go and grab 2 piece.... |
